Is your sewerage system "broken"?
USJ23 Neighbourhood

For those of you who are not sure what this is all about, maybe a picture will tell a thousand words

The part of the sewerage system in question is or what is called Private Sewerage Pipeline. As far as we know there are more than 10 houses in USJ23 that are effected. Our Neighbourhood Watch Committee have already taken steps to bring this matter up to JKP Zone7 (JawatanKuasa Penduduk Zon7), who will be assisting us in our efforts to seek redress for the problem from the housing developer Sime UEP.

Subject: is your sewerage system "broken" ? a shitty problem

Robert, thanks for your immediate response to my sms. pls note that both my e mail address and cell number have been  changed as you already know.

With regards to the subject pls note that on the afternoon of Aug 30 , 2005 several residents along USJ23/5A , were served with the Notis Menghendaki Kacauganggu Dihapuskan under Seksyen 82 [5] Akta Kerajaan Tempatan 1976[Akta 171] and have been given 14 days thereof to rectify the leaking sewerage issue in our respective backlanes.

Until now, I am not certain about notices issued along other service roads in our kampung, but I hope the issue is made an agenda at our next committee meeting. It must be recognized these could be the initial houses showing the results of poor workmanship and supervision by the developer and deficient monitoring by authorities responsible for the issuance of the so called certificate of fitness. What will be next when these houses have been  rectified of the situation and our other neighbours discovered to  their misfortune that the same problem only surfaced later, then it might be to late to seek justification, as their fellow predecessors agreed to the rectification and set a precedence. And further down time, who knows, should we have an unfortunate incident of collapse due to structural failure, are we to rectify these anomalies.

The powers that should be , must it seem, again be reminded of our YAB Prime Minister's message of leaving behind the third world mentality and adopt first class syndrome.

Homeowners will never be able to appreciate some aspects of the dwellings for example sewerage until it has "lived in " , will we be aware what goes on underground. This can only be answered by the design , supervision and authorizing authorities, which do not include the house buyer.

I hope all our residents voice theirs others woes for example water pipes bursting etc so that we can together, manage this and future issues with success.

Thank you
Praba

Subject: [USJ23 Resident Mailing Group] Is you sewage system "broken"? a shitty problem
Importance: High

Dear Residents of USJ23

It has been brought to our notice that quite a number of houses in USJ23 are effected by poorly constructed sewage outflow system.

Most of you know that the main sewage collection system in all our houses are located at the back of our house, it seems that quite a number of our houses have 'outflow systems' to the main sewage pipes that have decayed and are leaking into the backlane drains.

If this problem is not rectified as soon as possible, we will have all our sewage flowing into our drainage system.

We are presently working on an effort to bring this matter up to the proper authorities through the USJ23 Committee and the JKP Zone 7 (Jawatankuasa Penduduk). We have been made to understand that this is poor workmanship by the Developer Sime UEP.

If you are not sure what this is all about, take a look at the backlane of your house. If you notice water seeping out of the wall of your drain, your house maybe effected.

We intend to make the developer pay for the costly repairs, but we require the participation of all houses that are effected.

Should you still do not understand what this email is about, you can either call me or Mr. Beh for a detailed explanation.

Share this message with your neighbours who may not be on our mailing list.

Best Regards
