Postal Codes
USJ23 Neighbourhood

December 2003 - It needed an email written by Raymond Tan of USJ18 on 23/11/2003 addressed to the Mentri Besar of Selangor to motivate the Contractors into action. We understand that toward the middle of December 2003 all the Road Signs in USJ with the wrong postal codes have been changed.

Where is Jalan USJ 23/2?
Our only complain now is that with the changing of the Road Signs the Contractors have effectively removed one of our roads from the street maps. They have removed the original Road Sign for Jalan USJ 23/2 but have failed to replace it. Do we have to write to the MB to get it back?

30/09/2003 - They came in the middle of the night (2.00am), our security guards accompanied them to where they needed to carry out their work and stayed with them until pass 4.00am.
We awake in the morning to note that they have installed Road Signs along almost every road in USJ23., we say almost because we later discover that they have omitted to install any road signs for USJ23/2.

The most disturbing thing about the whole exercise is that they have somehow messed up the Postal Codes for USJ23. We understand that the same thing is happening all over USJ.

In USJ16, USJ17, USJ18 and USJ20 the Postal Code is also 47600 and 47300, so why was there a need to have 2 Postal Code for a single precinct? makes one wonder if this will effect the delivery of snail mail?

Read more about this at the Neighbourhood Watch Community Portal

Could it be that there is a reason why they are doing this?

Well they did not remove the previous Road Signs, so we may be in for even more surprises before too long.
