AS part of its charity-cum-environment programme, the USJ23 Neighbourhood
and Residents' Committee recently donated proceeds raised from the sale of
old newspaper to the Pure Life Society in Puchong, Selangor.
Committee chairman Yee Foon Kong presented a total |
of RM1,500 collected from the sale to Pure Life administrator A.
Atputharaja in a simple ceremony held at Pure Life premises.
Also present were committee members Robert Chan, and K.K.Chua.
Yee said committee members had been taking |
turns to go around USJ23 and its neighbouring areas in Subang Jaya, on
every first Sunday of the month, to collect old newspapers.
"We will continue to do our part for the needy, as well as to protect the
environment, by collecting and recycling old newspaper," Yee added |
