Dear Residents,
I am glad to announce that the parameter
fencing in USJ 23 has been successfully erected. The total costs of the
fencing is only RM17,168.50 as compared to approximately RM25,000.00 if
we were to engage a contractor to complete the job. On behalf of USJ 23
residents, I wish to thank Mr Robert Chan and Mr Patrick Novel who had
spent substantial amount of time going around sourcing for materials,
engaging workers and supervising the completion of the project.
On 22-09-2002 at 7.30 pm ,our ADUN Dato
Lee Hwa Beng will officiate the ribbon cutting ceremony marking the
success of the completion of parameter fencing. Satay and halal moon
cake will be served to all residents FOC. All residents are encouraged
to attend the function.
We have received some feedback from
residents who proposed that we should implement 24 hour security. The
committee had deliberated on the proposal on 6-09-2002 and decided to
gather the feedback from all the USJ 23 residents in due course.
In view of the increase of the incidents
of snatch thefts in USJ area and the recent attempted kidnapping/robbery
of one of our resident at the trumpet flyover, all residents,
especially women, old ladies and children are reminded to be on full
alert vigilant and be extremely careful. Do not open your house door
to any strangers including the salesmen who come into our area. Please
ensure your car doors are locked immediately the moment you get into
your car.
Lastly, I would like to remind all
residents that the efforts to maintain and continue to achieve zero
crime rate is an on-going process. The parameter fencing is not the
ultimate solution to our security problem. It is only an added measure
to combat the crime rate.
